After Baby Knepp’s shower last weekend, my Mom brought me back to Madison and helped me finish up the baby nursery. It felt so good to go through all of his clothes and supplies and get everything put away and ready! Of course, I could not have done it without my mom’s amazing organizational skills– she is a quick and efficient worker and had this space looking spiffy in no time!
I have been wanting to share a tour for awhile, but since his room was only half-done, I waited until it was complete… and that time is now! So here we go…
A few notes:
I went with a woodland animal theme with bears, foxes, and arrows mixed in.
The color scheme worked off of a base of grey walls, white curtains and crib, and a cream rocker– because I knew I would be adding in tons of color!
I’ll share where certain items/pieces came from as we work through the pictures.
Here it is!
I LOVE the blue & white dresser / changing table. I snatched this up from Nadela Market almost as soon as it was posted. It works perfectly in this space! The orange frame hanging above it is from the Organic Bloom and will eventually hold a picture of baby boy. The arrow, Bible verse piece, and ruler are from Hobby Lobby.
All of the art above the crib is from Hobby Lobby! You really can’t beat it there… they have the cutest home decor that you can easily mix & match, and the prices are not bad when you hit up their 50% off sales. I love the baby bear, fox, and giraffe!
The feather blanket was made by my Mom and Mr. Fox came from some friends!
I already have visions of Ryan holding baby boy in one arm while playing video games with his other 🙂 Hey, if it means Mama gets an hour or so of sleep, that is fine with me! I got this little onesie for Ryan as part of his Father’s Day gift this year. It’s just inevitable!
Another shot of this perfect blue & white dresser!
This banner was hand-painted (yes… HAND PAINTED) by my beyond-talented sister, Tonya. I don’t know how she does it! It hung above all of the “wood-land themed” food at my baby shower and I was so excited when she told me that I got to take this home and put it in baby boy’s room!
A look at the whole banner…
Baby boy’s laundry basket and some cute elephants to hold it up!
The comfy glider where I will undoubtedly spend many hours rocking baby. The framed prayer behind it was made by my Grandma Kaiser and given to me when I was a little girl!
My nursing cover and baby book bag are ready…
All the work of my Mother! Look at that organization…
I can’t wait to see him wear these tiny little clothes!
And he won’t be without cute blankets… thanks to my Mom for making half of these!
The cats have been VERY curious about this “space” and all of the new items that come with it. It will be interesting to see how they react to a new tiny little baby in the house!
Baby Boy… we are so ready for you!
